In order to meet its customers needs, Tertu is regionally structured with a seven advisers network in the position to closely cooperate with you on both  economical and technical bases.
They are directly linked to the Tertu Headquarters based Product Managers.   


The company and its know how


Our unit is supplied all year long with Douglas Fir logs from our property or others forests in Normandy. Douglas Fir is our favourite specie : its  worldwide acknowledged qualities  allow us to market  all our products with a firm guarantee of durability ...
The logs are selected then milled to a perfect cylinder with a constant diameter from 8 to even 35 cm , which is unique in Europe.
In order to meet our customers requirements, the round logs can be also drilled, bevelled, blunt or  specifically shaped.
Our workshop, equipped with a Finnish saw and a planer, is entitled to produce all types of boards as well as sound barriers and visuals panels.
Except the “ Douglas Heart “ range, all our products are pressure treated in autoclave according to a computerized process and in conformity with standards in force.
A systematic control, carried out by an external body according to on site sampling method, help us to check permanently this operation’s  efficiency. All wooden products pressure treated at Tertu’s facility wear a ten years guarantee.

Research & Development

Since its origin, Tertu has undertaken an active R & D policy, today deeply integrated in the company’s culture.
With the passing years, the manufacturing processes have been carefully improved. The  offer has been enriched with successful,  innovating and often patented concepts such as mixed wood and steel guardrails, obstacles protection, transitions, absorbing end terminals Euro ET, Euro TRACC crash cushions, parapets, vandalism proof fencing , sound barriers and gangways.
The most recent research axes followed by Tertu are addressing environmental friendly wood treatment preservatives, the use of naturally rot-resistant species and heating systems valorising waste and chips.
Tertu’s approach, often performed in cooperation with French or foreign  research centres is always guided by a permanent quest of the best quality/price ratio, considering also  the final user ‘s very best interest.


A key actor in Europe : Tertu

 
 Tertu participe au C.N.D.R.R., la Com In France, Tertu is a  member of the National Standardization Committee whose task is to study and prepare, in cooperation with others EC countries, the future Road Safety standards in Europe.
 
Tertu is also member of the French Highway Safety Products Association ( S.E.R.) and participate to the Road Restraint Systems (RRS)  section. This entity who gathers most of the French RRS manufacturers wish to improve Highway Safety and Infrastructures within  our  National road network.
 
TERTU has joined in 2003 the European Road Federation (ERF)  a Brussels-based organisation whose aims are to coordinate the views and concerns of Europe’s road sector, as well as to collaborate with European institutions in order to implement harmonised standards and improve European road network.
