Gateway to the city of Nice looks more attractive with T40 guardrails

1.6 km section of T40 mixed wood & steel guardrails with containment level H2 (for heavy vehicles) are now protecting the median of the road to the city of Grenoble, the true Nice gateway .

Jacques Le Corre, from the Alpes Maritimes (South-East of France) County Council Road Authority , explains main reasons for this choice.

CE marking

Tertu guardrails now CE marked

According to EN Standard 1317 part 5, all Tertu mixed wood & steel guardrails have received the Certificate of Conformity for CE marking, issued by French Notified Body ASQUER.

From January 1 ,2010 , all Road Restraint Systems installed in Europe shall be CE marked .
Trinity products ( cash cushions and end terminals) and Marcegaglia steel guardrails –all marketed in France by Tertu- are also CE marked.

Korea

On the 5th of November 2009 , Tertu signed a license agreement with Korean company Eagon

Tertu chose Eagon Environment for manufacturing and marketing its mixed wood & steel guardrails in South Korea. The agreement considers not only the existing range but also a new system developed in common and successfully crash tested in 2009 according to Korean standards.

The local market looks very promising for aesthetic systems ( “green guardrails”) as environmental issues are more and sensible in this country. Eagon Environment is a subsidiary of the Eagon group, deeply involved in the wood sector at an international level. The first orders have been placed on last December.

France

Marcegaglia takes off in France

The very first job of steel guardrails Marcegaglia has been recently installed in the Champagne region : a N2 CE marked system with a W2 working width.

Tertu is appointed as Marcegaglia sole distributor in France.
