Douglas fir has always been used for the construction of bridges, some of which are more than a hundred years old and are now famous in Canada.

Always at the cutting edge of research, Tertu is working with the Polytechnikum de Lausanne to take its research further.

New designs, new assemblies and new uses wood…

 In association with design offices, Tertu is constantly looking for new uses of wood in structures and assemblies.


The combination of wood and steel is also an integral part of its history and te reason why Tertu is happy to offer such a combination for greater safety and improved appearance.

WHEN TIMBER LEADS TO INNOVATION


Standards



Tertu gangways and bridges comply with the standards in force.


They pass the loading tests, in accordance with fascicule 61 of the CCTG (design, calculations and structural testing), with guaranteed compliance.

The design notes are based on the following DDE (French Road & Infrastructures Administration) fascicule:

- CB 71 (design rules for wooden frameworks)

- CB 61 (design and calculation of bridges
and steel structures).
