Pedestrian parapet T100, the elegant safety

Adaptable. Pedestrian parapets can be used everywhere : protection of access, brooks or paths signposting, on gangways. With its wooden cladding, our range of pedestrian parapets is perfectly integrated in rural, road or urban environment. In accordance with current engineering and building standards, TERTU wood pedestrian parapets match aesthetics, safety and performance.

Adaptable

Pedestrian parapets T100 present a complete and adaptable range of equipments of protection. All our pedestrian parapets have been tested according to standards XP P 98-405 and French standard NF P01-013, due in our country for works of engineering and buildings. The steel galvanized posts, cladded with Douglas Fir can be either mounted on steel base to be anchored or sealed in concrete. The panels also in Douglas fir, are built with vertical (T100 and T140) or horizontal (T100H) bars.

All-land

The panel-with-post connections are reinforced by steel galvanized parts and equipped with a locking system including covers and hinges centered in the 3 dimensions. This device, result of TERTU’s research, works like a “universal joint”. It allows the pedestrian parapets to adapt themselves to the ground without modifying standard version (up to 25 % of gradient ). The installation is that way “Quick’n Easy “ .

Strengthened

In order to protect them from shocks, the TERTU’s pedestrian gangways (T100, T100H, and T140) can be strengthened transversely by mixed wood and steel guardrail (flagship product of the TERTU’s range). According to the required level of reinforcement, those guardrails can be round logs (T18) or half-round logs (T22). These reinforcements allows as well to emphasize the visual pedestrian parapets signposting .

Enduring

Due to its structure the Douglas fir stands out as a material of exception in terms of quality and durability. Its heart is naturally enduring. Combined with a pressure treatment, its use can strongly be recommended in most cases.

When timber hits the road

T100 : a new version for Mountain areas

The range of TERTU’s pedestrian gangways welcomes a new Mountain-version T 100 . This system , a result from TERTU’s Research Dpt, offers an enhanced post whose height can be adapted to snow level : high position in winter, low position in summer. It was be exclusively introduced at last “SAM, Salon de l’Aménagement en Montagne” Exhibition, dedicated to mountain resorts equipments, in French city of Grenoble (April 21-23 2010).
